Varicocele Causes and
Risk Factors
Varicoceles can lead to reduced sperm quality and infertility, testicular shrinkage (atrophy), and persistent discomfort or a feeling of heaviness in the scrotum. In some cases, the enlarged veins become visibly noticeable, which may cause cosmetic concerns or emotional stress, especially when linked to fertility challenges.
Varicocele Treatment
Varicocele Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure that closes off blood flow to the affected vein(s), causing the varicocele to shrink and die off.Varicocele Embolization ProcedureAn image-guided procedure where a tiny catheter is inserted through a skin nick at the top of the leg and passed into the problem vein in the abdomen.
