Dev Batra, MD
Vascular & Interventional RadiologistWith over 15 years of experience, Dr. Batra has performed thousands of life-changing vascular procedures, specializing in conditions such as May-Thurner Syndrome, Varicose Veins, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, Uterine Fibroids, and Lymphedema. He is also highly experienced in innovative procedures such as Genicular Artery Embolization for knee pain, Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), and leading-edge treatments for erectile dysfunction, hemorrhoids, and plantar fasciitis. His expertise in cutting-edge endovascular techniques allows patients to avoid major surgery, experience faster recovery times, and get back to living life fully. Dr. Batra completed his medical training at Creighton University School of Medicine and specialized further through residency and fellowship at Michigan State University and the University of Colorado. He is an active leader in his field, frequently lecturing on vascular and interventional radiology, and is affiliated with top hospitals throughout Dallas-Fort Worth.
Outside of work, Dr. Batra is a devoted husband and father of three boys. He enjoys golfing (even when his sons outplay him), catching live sports, traveling, and indulging in both fine dining and his favorite local spots.

Steve C. Hong, MD
Vascular & Interventional RadiologistHe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois and his M.D. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Hong completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital (formerly William Beaumont Hospital) in Royal Oak, MI.
For the past 14 years, Dr. Hong has practiced at a level-one regional trauma center in East Central Illinois, performing advanced, minimally invasive procedures to treat a wide array of conditions, including arterial disease, vein disease, cancer, spine fractures, and pain management. These innovative treatments have significantly improved his patients’ quality of life, enabling them to regain daily function. And now, he has brought these interventions to the Texas Vascular Institute.
Dr. Hong is deeply passionate about education and mentorship, especially in teaching other healthcare providers and the next generation of doctors. He has served as faculty for the Carle Integrated Vascular Surgery residency and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. In addition, he frequently delivers lectures on various interventional radiology topics as an expert speaker. Dr. Hong is equally committed to patient education. Motivated by his encounters with patients who lack understanding of their health conditions, he strives to empower them with knowledge during clinic visits, enabling them to make informed decisions about their care.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Hong enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. Together, they create lasting memories through traveling, binge-watching shows, and exploring new foods and restaurants.
Kareem Elshatory, MD
Vein SpecialistDr. Elshatory is committed to offering high-quality, personalized vein care to the Dallas-Fort Worth community. Known for his professional yet approachable demeanor, he ensures that every patient feels at ease and well-informed. He takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns and clearly explains treatment options in straightforward language. This friendly approach, combined with his expertise in the latest vein treatment techniques, fosters trust and confidence, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate care and the best possible results. Whether addressing cosmetic issues or more serious vein concerns, he ensures that each treatment plan is customized to meet the unique needs and aspirations of the individual patient. His dedication to ongoing education and staying updated on the latest advancements in vein treatment technology has earned him respect among his peers and appreciation from his patients.
Dr. Elshatory’s medical journey began at the Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He completed a resident internship at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, New Jersey, followed by an internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then pursued a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Elshatory takes pride in being a devoted husband and father. He loves playing basketball, especially with his sons, who bring exciting energy to the game. In his leisure time, he enjoys biking, maintaining his fitness with gym workouts, and playing his guitar, with a special passion for Spanish guitar.
